Native Insects
The art of Fia Sutton

Opening reception on Nov 7th - 5pm to 8pm
On view through Nov 30th

Fia Sutton's journey in illustration is ever changing and expanding. Each move, each destination, brings its own opportunities to learn. Less than a year ago she moved to Western Massachusetts from Brooklyn and began a five month exploration of the native insect life of the Pioneer Valley. Her research, hikes, museum visits, and personal experiences led to the creation of an ABC style collection of collages. Each work represents a variety of native insects - or occasionally bugs- that are commonly found in the area. Each piece is created with painted acrylics cut and layered into a collage with additional acrylics painted on top.

Join us for refreshments and an evening of local art!
