About the Owners
The Bower Studio, founded in 2011, is the collaborative effort of Vincent Frano and Isa Wang. We wanted to create beautiful and functional items inspired by the natural world, which we both love. The business began as a soap making endeavor and has since evolved into illustrated products, prints, cards, and canvas posters with our original designs. In 2014 we moved away from the city to rural Pelham, MA. Here in Western Massachusetts, we've opened our flagship store featuring our own work along with handcrafted items from local and US artisans. For our own work, we seek to create functional artwork that encourages environmental stewardship, highlighting the diversity of American flora and fauna with educational products that use environmentally friendly materials. Our stationery and accessories are made by hand in the studio. Vincent, who studied illustration and herbalism, draws the artwork featured on our products. Isa, who studied fashion design and fine art, composes the images with typography and graphic design. Isa also incorporates our illustrations into hand-sewn fabric accessories. Combining Vincent's passion for herbalism, Isa’s interest in design, and both of our artistic backgrounds, we strive to create attractive utilitarian items that exemplify our commitment to quality and beautiful design.

About the Store The Bower Studio store, located in historic Pelham, MA, is a curated gift shop and herbal apothecary. The store is also home to Isa and Vincent's studio space. While our work is featured in the shop, it is only a small part of the greater whole. The gift shop and apothecary highlights the works of numerous artisans, crafters, herbalists, and other creatives. Many are local to the Pioneer Valley and New England, with other works from across the US and Canada. A smaller selection of items are sourced worldwide, such as handmade baskets from Ghana and bracelets made from old bombs in Laos. The apothecary offers a growing selection of kosher, organic, and sustainably wildcrafted dried herbs as well as herbal products. Local and US herbalists produce all of the tinctures, vinegars, teas, salves, and other herbal items available in the shop. The Bower Studio also hosts a range of workshops on topics related to herbalism, crafting, and the natural world.
