These are unmatted prints of original ink drawings with digitally collaged watercolor of herbs and their code names. Based on the writings of Galen and Discorides as well as the Greek Magical Papyri (see PGM XII: 401-44), this illustration depicts an herb and its code name counterpart. Code names have been used in grimoires to conceal the nature of herbal and magical recipes from the general populace.
These prints are available in a standard 5" x 7" and 8" x 10" sizes. It is printed with archival inks on 100% recycled, textured Fabriano watercolor paper. Each print is signed and dated on the back by the artist, Vincent Frano of The Bower Studio.
